At Clinton Dental Care, we are dedicated to creating a familiar and pleasant experience every time you visit. Our knowledgeable, experience and friendly team creates a comfortable family like environment. Practicing dentistry in the heart of Clinton, we strive to offer a wide range of services for the benefit of our patients. In our state of the art facility, we combine the latest technology of digital radiography and photography with our hometown friendliness to create a comforting environment. We care about our patients and listen to the individual concerns of each one.
We offer a wide array of procedures: hygiene and preventive care, emergency care, cosmetic dentistry-all porcelain crowns and porcelain veneers, root canals, dental implant restorations, teeth whitening, and the latest materials in restorative dentistry. Utilizing these, we are able to care for the needs of patients from 2 to 102 years of age. When complicated procedures require the need of a specialist, we are blessed to have a core group we work with daily.

DENTIST
Dr. Kristin Derrick, DMD, FAGD
Born and raised in Clinton, Dr. Derrick is proud to have come back home upon graduating from James B. Edwards School of Dentistry @ MUSC in Charleston in 2006, where she purchased the practice of Daniel P. Hartley established in 1977. Dr. Derrick graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2002 (Go Cocks!) and from Clinton High School in 1998. She knew she wanted to be a dentist while still in high school due to her complex dental issues in her youth. She credits Dr. Phil McClary and Dr. John Sowell for making her smile beautiful and never causing any pain. She hopes to do that for all of her patients!
Dr. Derrick is a member of the SC Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the LD Pankey Alumni Association. Over the past fourteen years she has amassed over 600 hours of continuing education and in July 2017, she was awarded fellowship status in general dentistry from the AGD. There are only 105 dentists in South Carolina who have achieved this distinction and 6,500 in the country.

The Pankey Institute has been the key to changing the way Dr. Derrick practices dentistry. They teach you to start with the patient as a whole, to look at the complete picture, before preparing a dental plan. She finished the core curriculum in 2017, attends annual meetings and looks forward to returning to Key Biscayne, FL.
Dr. Derrick is passionate about forming a relationship with every patient and welcoming them into the family of Clinton Dental Care. Each patient will leave the office knowing they have received the best dental care in the region. We are a close family at Clinton Dental Care and we hope everyone that comes through our door will feel right at home!
Dr. Derrick loves spending time with her daughter, Addy, and being outside, especially in the water. In her free time, she loves the beach, cooking and baking, and going to USC sporting events!.
ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
Susan A. Noble, CDA, Practice Manager is a native of Laurens County and she joined Clinton Dental Care in 2016 and has been in the dental field for almost 3 decades. A graduate of Greenville Technical College, she has an Associates Degree in Expanded Duty Dental Assisting, a member of the Dental Assistant National Board and the American Association of Dental Office Management. With a strong passion for dentistry and experience as a practice Safety Coordinator, her clinical skills makes her a wonderful asset to our administrative team! Many of our patients know Susan by her smile and laughter! In her free time, Susan loves spending time with her family and friends, Miss Kitty (our practice therapy dog!), taking care of her farm animals, enjoying a good read, listening to music, or a brisk walk outside.
Makayla Harper is our hybrid administrative assistant. She joined Clinton Dental Care in November 2022. You will see Makayla at our front desk and in the back helping with clinical duties. With previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Insurance Specialist, she loves meeting all our patients and spending time with coworkers. Makayla is a proud mom of baby girl, Raelynn, born on March 13th, 2023! She loves spending time with her family and friends.
DENTAL HYGIENE TEAM
Amy King joined Clinton Dental Care in 2020 and has been a registered dental hygienist since 1994. A graduate from Florence-Darlington Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health Science who loves every aspect of dental hygiene including periodontal therapy. Formerly from Hartsville, South Carolina, Amy is married to Scott King and they have twin boys, Jacob and Matthew. In addition, they have two adorable miniature Dachshunds Ozzie and Daisy. With a passion for providing her patients with excellent care and building lasting relationships, Amy also loves to spend time with her family, travel and shop.
Amanda Walls joined Clinton Dental Care in June of 2022! She is a graduate of Greenville Technical College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. As a dental hygienist, Amanda loves meeting new people, building relationships with patients, and educating them on how to improve their oral hygiene. Originally from Easley, South Carolina, Amanda and her family now reside in Mountville, South Carolina. Amanda and her husband, Will, have a son, Truett, and a daughter, Harper Glenn. They love living the country life as a family!
Renee Jones born and raised in Clinton, joined our team in April of 2023! She graduated from Clinton High School in 1998 and completed her Associates Degree at Greenville Technical college in 2001 and has been practicing dental hygiene for 22 years. Her favorite part about working in dentistry is being able to make people feel more confident about their smiles. Renee and her husband, John, have 3 daughters, Gracelyn, Ava, and Isla. In her free time she loves to read, spend time with friends and family and travel to new places!
DENTAL ASSISTANT TEAM
Amanda Greene is from Mountville, South Carolina. She is a part of the Thornwell class of 2005 and graduated from Tri-County Technical College ins 2009 with an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant Degree. She was been assisting for over 12 years in various dental setting including pediatrics, orthodontics, and general dentistry. She is married to Chris and they have 4 dogs and 4 cats, currently! You will find Amanda on a summer night at the Laurens County Speedway or in the Great Smoky Mountains ~ huge Dollywood fans!
